I am so thankful to everyone who is supporting the show. I am having an absolute blast being part of it and yes, it is a ton of work. I work at this show 7 days week and have almost no social life and DO NOT get paid for this. But yet, I am having the time of my life! Thank you, Ricky, for including me, Indian Bob for being a part of, Hurrican Katrina for help with the myspace and Kim for this wonderful site! There are so many more who are making this show a success in continuing to allow us to carry the message of recovey; my passion!

Addiction Recovery Radio Works
« on: October 30, 2007, 12:50:12 PM »
One of the problems with radio is that you often don't know when it is succeeding. Yesterday night I received a phone call from a listener. Her friend was in trouble and needed help. He was using alcohol and she did not know that he needed detox....did not know how to help him or anything else.
It was interesting that the one thing that she did know was that she had stumbled onto the show, and wanted for her friend what some of the callers seemed to have. She was not appropriate for CARE, but she was appropriate for another facility...and I just got the call that she was admitted today.
Let me quote her friend: Rick and his crew saved this woman's life.
Accolades to you all!
It is why we at CARE are so happy to help sponsor the show.

being as our primary purpose is to carry the message (and this is my opinion directed to those who would suggest or opine that this is all a big violation of traditions)"Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all of our traditions ever reminding us to place principles before personalities"
Anonymity's spiritual principle is "living clean"! Humility is acknowledging one's true self. One's true identity. Weather we are addicts or alcoholics is of little concern other than as for personal identification. Carrying the message remains our primary purpose.
So keep carrying the message folks. There are people listening.
Hugs,
Boe (Mtl 25/05/86)
